I Tried VII Oxygen Eye Masks! Here’s What I Thought.

June 11, 2018

Is it just me or has it been super busy the past month? I feel like I’ve been busy almost every day! I’ve been working a ton of overtime plus trying to keep up with blogging on top of weekly events like birthday parties, weddings and family gatherings. Eddy and I also got a puppy! We love little Nova so much but it’s definitely been challenging trying to train her and work full time. I wouldn’t trade it for the world though, it’s so much fun having a puppy to teach, train and cuddle all the time.

So with all this going on, I was super stoked when VII (VII pronounce “vee two”) reached out asking if I wanted to try out the VII Oxygen Eye Mask. I felt like this was the perfect opportunity for some self-care and pampering. The VII Oxygen Eye Mask is an 8-hour overnight eye treatment that helps rid your eyes of dark circles, fine lines and the “tired” look. The mask helps give you bright and refreshing eyes!

What makes the VII Oxygen Eye Mask different?

This eye mask is unique because it’s a 7-to-8-hour overnight treatment. Other eye masks, I’ve used are typically worn for about 30 minutes and then they come off. This one works its magic overnight. Another special factor about this mask is that it’s a gel-like material. It wasn’t a pad with oils on it like the other masks I’ve used in the past. This one had a cool gel on the pad.

My review

The first night I tried this mask, I took my nightly shower and washed my face. After washing my face, I applied moisturizer and opened up the packet of the VII Oxygen Eye Masks. The packet had 6 pairs in total. The eye masks are meant to be used 2-3 times a week. I peeled off the mask from the plastic sheets and put the eye masks gently under my eyelids like this:

My first thoughts were “this feels so good.” Like seriously guys, it felt so refreshing under my eye lids. Side note in case you didn’t know, I work all day on a computer and eye strain is a real problem, having these hydrating strips under my eyes made me feel so relaxed. I decided to lay in bed face up and do a little meditation. I closed my eyes and felt the cool gel seep into my skin. After a few minutes, I fell asleep.

I woke up in the middle of the night the first time wearing the masks and remember only having one on. I felt around and found the other mask on my pillow and I stuck it back on and fell back asleep. In the morning, I woke up with one mask on and one off. I think the reason this happened was because when I applied the masks, I tried to readjust one of them to place it on a more comfortable spot on my face and the mask didn’t stick as well. My methods of where I placed the masks under my eyes improved as I used the masks.

Overall, I really liked how cooling the masks felt at night after a long day of looking at the computer.  I was also impressed by how bright my under eyes looked the mornings after wearing the masks.

The price of one box with 6 pairs of eye masks is $55. If you do the math that’s approximately $9 a mask. I’m not sure if it’s for you but if you have dark under-eye circles, puffy or dehydrated eyes you will benefit the most from this mask.

If you want to try it, use my promo code SOFIE for $5 off and read my tips below!

  1. Make sure to leave some space between your eye lashes and the masks. I felt uncomfortable when the mask was too close to my eye.
  2. Refrigerate the masks before wearing them for an even cooler, refreshing effect!
  3. Wear a sleeping mask on top of the eye masks to prevent them from falling off while you sleep
  4. If they keep falling at night or you don’t have time to wear them the entire night, wear the eye masks for 2-4 hours.

Thank you so much, VIIcode for sponsoring this post and letting me try this product!
