Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! How are you going to show your loved one how much you appreciate and adore them? I created this Valentine’s Day gift guide to help you brainstorm some ideas.
This year for Valentine’s Day, my valentine Eddy and I are taking a trip to the Pacific Northwest. We are going to Vancouver, B.C. and then to Seattle, WA. I’m super stoked, of course, since it’ll be our first time visiting both cities. Eddy and I love taking trips for our birthdays or special holidays because it’s a unique way to get to know another place and have a nice little getaway. Since we’ll be spending a lot of money on-the-go for this trip, I’ll be gifting my two “Galentines,” my mom and sister a little something special since I won’t get to see them.
My mom started a Valentine’s Day tradition with us when we were younger. I remember waking up for Valentine’s Day and waking up to a cute little gift laid out for us next to our bed. It would come in a neatly wrapped gift bag with a card telling us how proud she was and how much she loved us. She’d normally get us something like matching outfits or a cute piece of jewelry. This year, I’d like to do something similar for both of them. I won’t say what because I know they read my blog, but I’m super excited for them to find out.

Gifts are a perfect way to show someone you care, but do remember that what matters most is spending quality time with somebody and showing them you care through your actions. Money isn’t everything so if you can’t afford to go all out for them, you can also show you love and adore them through other ways. Here are some awesome affordable date ideas:
- Plan a candlelit dinner for them at home with a menu you’ve designed
- Have a Netflix-and-Chill kind of night with your favorite bottle of wine and a cheese plate you’ve put together
- Make your loved one’s favorite dessert and surprise them after a long day
- Have a romantic picnic!Pack up your picnic basket with some fruit, sandwiches, your favorite drinks and a frisbee
- Go out for a new hike with your loved one then get some bomb sandwiches and smoothies after
If you have any other ideas, I’d love hear them! Please share them in the comments section below.
