Everyone has their top favorite beauty essentials so I decided I’d do a round-up of the products I can’t live without.
I got this idea from a blogger friend of mine The Real Lovely Chica, who did something very similar a couple weeks ago. I though it was a super cute idea and it brought new products to my attention so I thought I’d share my favorites with you all too. Also, if you haven’t checked out her blog, I highly recommend you do!
Here are my favorite products. I’d love to hear your input and let me know what your favorites are too.
I heard many good things about the Garnier Miscellar Water so I had to give it a try. Guess what? I fell absolutely in love with it! I like applying after I wash my face either in the morning or when I am going to bed. I pour some drops onto a cotton ball and gently apply it on my eyes, pressing down to get any eye makeup off and then I rub it all over my face. I like its gentleness on the skin and that it doesn’t sting.
Before my skin care regimen included rubbing my face with a cotton ball mixed with Neutrogena’s Clear Pore Oil-Controlling Astringent and Neutrogena’s Alcohol-Free Toner. Too be honest, the astringent burned but it did it’s job of removing any excess dirt from my skin. The toner was good too because it removed any impurities from my skin and left my skin feeling clean. However, you can get both of these products’ benefits from the Garnier Miscellar Water and the best part is it’s half the price!
I carry Smith’s Strawberry Lip Balm lip balm with me everywhere I go. If I don’t have it with me, I feel naked like something isn’t right. You guys know that feeling, right?
I heard about this product because I had a friend in high school who would always carry it with her. She told me it was a lip balm and told me I would love it. I ended up buying it at Urban Outfitters because I wanted to try it out. Sure enough, I ended up loving it! Years later, I still swear by it and haven’t been able to find a product even close to how good it is.
I love the way it makes my lips feel moisturized after putting it on. I also use it when I want to give my lips a glossy look. Not to mention, the strawberry flavor is bomb. I totally recommend this if you haven’t tried it. It even comes in a different flavor “Minted Rose.” My favorite is obviously the strawberry flavor. Also, there’s a tube version if you are into that.
Ponds Hydrating Dry Skin Cream
Does your skin ever feel dry after you shower or when you wash your face? This is the solution. I have been using this for years and I swear it’s the best economic skin moisturizer. I use it after washing my face and taking a shower. I feel like my skin gets dry after any sort of exposure to water so I rub this on my face and my skin feels hydrated and soft again.
I recommend using this product because it’s affordable, moisturizing and makes your skin feel super soft. There are different kinds of Ponds moisturizers you can try depending on your what your skin needs are.
I heard about this product through a coworker of mine. She swore by it and told me it had helped her eyelashes grow a lot. I saw the price and I couldn’t believe how expensive this oil was. But I’m so glad I took the chance on this product because ever since I started using it my eyelashes have grown so much and they feel fuller than ever before.
I didn’t start seeing results until a month or so after using it, but it definitely works. I like applying it after washing my face and putting moisturizer on. It comes with a very sleek brush and you just apply a thin layer of the oil on your lash line. My coworker said she liked applying it before putting her mascara on so it just depends on when you want to apply it. I totally understand if you think this price is ridiculous but this is one of my big eyelash-growing secrets. It works miracles! Also, mine has lasted me months.
I listed some other affordable options below too. If you are interested in learning about my top favorite mascaras check this post out too.
I was told about this product at Sephora one day when I was looking for a new liquid eyeliner. The associate told me this was one of their top sellers and recommended it based on my experience using Sephora’a liquid eyeliner before. I liked the Sephora eyeliner because it was an affordable option but I felt like the color would smear and the bottle didn’t last me too long.
The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner has lasted me at least a month and still goes on super fresh looking. The thinness of the applicator is perfect to help you get that cat eye look too. I highly recommend this for all the liquid eyeliner lovers out there. You won’t regret it. It’s not as cheap as the Sephora brand eye liner, but think about it this way: You are paying for the quality.
Hope this post has introduced some new beauty products to you.
