I wanted to share some pictures with you guys from my photo shoot with Parallel33 Photography. I got the opportunity to show off these amazing swimsuits by Hola Swim, a swimsuit company from Barrio Logan.
This shoot was so much fun but most of all, empowering. Ever since I was young, I always felt uncomfortable wearing a swimsuit, during the summer, especially bikinis. I developed early so I would always go for conservative one pieces or tankinis because they covered everything up and didn’t draw any extra attention to me.
Now that I am older, I’ve let go of those insecurities about my body and am now just kinda like f*** it. This is the body I get to live in and I’m going to rock it in anything I wear. I do my best to make healthy eating decisions, work out, live a balanced life and feel my best. This is who I am, and I am proud of it.
When Bree from Paralell33 Photography handed me the swimsuits for this shoot, I was nervous that they wouldn’t fit me right. But the swimsuits actually ended up fitting me in all the right places. Here are my favorite pictures from the shoot, let me know which ones are your favorites in the comment. The one below is a velvet swimsuit with a hood for surfers! How cool is that?
I really hope this post has inspired you to be comfortable in your skin. I believe our imperfections and flaws are what make us beautiful people inside and out. Let’s continue to be body positive and support one another.
Thank you so much Bree and Hola Swim for this amazing experience!
